God has graciously placed a passion in Carmen to cultivate a burdened heart for broken women. She has walked through valleys of death, addiction, rejection, and betrayal, and experienced the miraculous ability of God to bring victory in spite of circumstance.
A Jesus-lover. Preacher’s wife. Mommy of five. Grace-clinger. Truth-speaker. Carmen longs to equip women with the tools they need to walk with God for a lifetime. She is Founder & President of Whole Magazine, an online Christian publication for women (and now men).
Along with her husband Jarrad, they founded God Over Porn in 2013, a para-church existing to reach out the Christians struggling with pornography and sexual sin. God Over Porn was birthed from their own personal testimony on how Jarrad's porn addiction nearly destroyed their family and marriage.
On January 1, 2015, Carmen began a facebook group, called Sisters In Scripture, that gathered sisters in Christ from all over the world to join together as they read through the Bible in one Year. Today, Sisters In Scriptures is now an online community of sisters abiding in God's Word everyday through online small groups, bible studies, and more. It was birthed, not just from the need to abide deeper in God's Word, but to also provide a community where as sisters in the faith we would keep one another accountable.
When she isn't leading in ministry, she is doing what she does best. Serving. She is a proud member of Watermark Church in Dallas, Texas and serves in various ministries there.
